Dongguan Zensee Printing Ltd. Obtained China Environmental Label for Printing Sector

Dongguan Zensee Printing Ltd, the major production plant of QP Group was recently granted the Certificate of China Environmental Labeling. The accreditation recognizes the plant's conformance to PRC's premier environmental requirements set out for the printing industry. Thus, Dongguan Zensee Printing Limited is entitled to make the China Eco-label on the products of the accredited scope.

Issued by China Environmental United Certification Centre Co. Ltd, the wholly owned organization of China Environmental Protection Agency, (www.sepacec.com), China Environmental Labeling is an official certification program initiated by State Environmental Protection Administration which highlighted by the 12th 5-Year Plan. It endorses products which adopt environmental friendly raw materials, production methods and handling process. Items carrying the label are generally recognized as safer and greener for they take environmental advantages over other co-generic products in terms of low poison and resource saving.

Printers must oblige the Technical Requirements for Environmental Labeling Products for Printing (Part I) introduced in March 2011 in order to carry the China Environmental Label. The requirement means China's first official green manufacturing guidelines developed for the printing sector. As an active member of the standard drafting committee, Dongguan Zensee Printing Ltd has been contributing to the development and finalization of the official standards, which set out specific limits on hazardous chemical contents in printing materials, and lay down technical requirements on eco-friendly printing processes for planographic printing. The factory went through the auditing process and won the recognition soon after the requirements was released.

The accreditation once again acknowledges Dongguan Zensee Printing Ltd's endeavors in supporting green printing. As an environmental conscious printer, QP Group commits heavily in reducing carbon footprint. It is among the forerunners in the industry adopting ISO14001 and has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of the FSC's Chain-of-Custody (CoC Part 3.6) certification standard. Looking to the future, the company will keep operating in a responsible manner and strives to reduce our emissions in all directions.
